Addiction Information Coalition - Southern California
On October 28, 2008 we convened our first meeting of the Addiction Information Coalition (AIC) to begin building a platform for communitiy awareness and engagement. Compelling issues like addiction demand a coordinated effort across all layers in a community. We've found a great start and meet every month to continue building our coalition. Our agenda includes the development of our learning community and will focus on research, advocacy strategy, and other needs for mobilizing resources and building addiction-free zones. Our initial target is our schools in Southern California.

Supersaturation Campaign 2009
As we convene our Addiction Information Coalition throughout the year we will be advancing our campaign to supersaturate our communities with information, improve access to resource channels, and promote widespread engagement in our coalition activities. By the end of 2009 our communities in Southern California will know what addiction really looks like and will have the resources to create meaningful and lasting change. By the end of 2009 we anticipate an increase in Coalition membership by 30-40 %.
